Opportunity:
Head Medical are delighted to share we are working on behalf of a leading NHS trust in Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a substantive Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
You will have Obstetrics and Gynaecology experience at Consultant level to support the Clinical Director in Quality Improvement and in meeting labour ward standards as per RCOG guidelines.
The labour ward and specialist Gynaecology services were recently refurbished and have a modernised birthing centre with 3 private water birthing suites. The Gynaecology Inpatient ward offers 6 beds alongside a newly furbished Ambulatory Care unit.
As a Consultant in Obs and Gynae, you'll:
- Provide consultant colleagues, an effective Obstetrics and Gynaecology service to the trust.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide a high-quality Obstetric and Gynaecology service
- Advise clinical colleagues on matters within his/her sphere of expertise
- Liaise with other health care organisations, Social Services, General Practitioners and voluntary organisations as required
- Responsibility for keeping services up-to-date and giving direction to future developments
- Contributing to postgraduate and continuing medical education activity

Essential criteria
- Full GMC registration
- MRCOG or equivalent
- CCST or equivalent
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
Desirable Criteria
- Special interest accreditation ATSM or equivalent experience in obstetric medicine
- Higher Degree
- Evidence of research and or publication
