About the Job

Opportunity:

Working as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine within the HSE (Ireland's public health system) you'll provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency medicine department at this leading teaching hospital in Donegal.

Where possible the post holder will participate with academic and clinical colleagues to enhance the hospital's research activities within the research governance framework.

This role is not a substantive post but will be a relatively long-term contract of 1 year with a view of going permanent.

  • Basic Salary scale between € 222,215- € 266.925 in accordance with the HSE 2023 Consultant contract

  • Hours: 37 hours per week, plus on-call supplements

Essential Criteria

  • Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Emergency Medicine or be eligible to obtain specialist registration.
  • Or must be on or working towards Specialist Registration of the IMC
