Opportunity:
Delighted to share Head Medical are seeking a GMC specialist registered Consultant within Community Adult Psychiatry to provide consultant-delivered services in an established General Adult multidisciplinary community mental health team in South Westminster.
You will provide Consultant Clinical Leadership to the West End Multidisciplary Community Mental Health Team and supervise the Speciality and Trainee Doctors within the Team.
Westminster is an inner London area with a mixed, diverse population with some of the most wealthy and most deprived areas of London.
As a Consultant in Community Adult Psychiatry, you'll:
- Review complex needs patients to ensure appropriate care packages are put in place.
- Provide senior clinical advice and support to the daily triage, MDT, and other regular clinical team meetings
- Ensure that all referrals are triaged daily and responded to in a timely way
- Assessment of new patients and clinical supervision of assessments carried out by other team members

Essential criteria
- Primary Medical Degree
- Full GMC Registration
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date)
- Section 12 MHA Approved
- Ability to use public transport (for travel to see patients if indicated).
Desirable criteria
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
- MRCPsych OR MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
