The Noongar people have lived in Albany and its region since creation times. By representing this area we pay respect to the Noongar people, their customs and history.

Aside from a possible remuneration of up to  AU$428,425 (dependent on experience) the rewards of securing this job include the amazing benefits of it's location : Albany:

  • Savour the beautiful coastal location - live the dream!
  • Enjoy the finest natural harbour in Australia outside of Sydney.
  • Oldest European settlement in Western Australia.
  • Walk amazing the most amazing beaches and bush.
  • Islands and bays to explore.
  • Incredible whale watching.

Whaling ceased in Albany only in 1979. Many of the old harpooners have become environmentalists and you can meet them sometimes working as tour guides at the whaling station museum. Whales come so close to the shore that a few years ago someone was fined for swimming up and climbing on to the back of one. For a city that relied so much on the sea for its prosperity, the heart of the place really is the Princess Royal Harbour.

The town also has some grand old Victorian buildings hosting great hotels, pubs and restaurants. The seafood, such as queen snapper and blue swimmer crabs, is sensational. There are 5 award winning vineyards - the region is rich agriculturally with some of the best farmers markets in Australia. The beaches are one of the most beautiful things about Albany - the sand can be so fine that if you scuff your feet along the sand at night, you may see sparks shoot off your shoes!

There are state and private primary and secondary schools, colleges and university campuses. First class parks, sporting and leisure facilities are dotted throughout the city. The location is really ideal for families, singles or couples.
