Consultant Community Paediatrician - Wales
An opportunity is available for a Consultant Community Paediatrician to work in Wales as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your objective will be to promote the well-being of children and their families with chronic problems, supporting them to reach their full potential. As a senior employee you will work closely with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Health Board’s patients. This would be a great opportunity for an experienced Consultant who is looking to reduce their workload, part time working will be considered.
Consultants do 3 outpatient clinics per week, one of which is an outreach clinic to a local community hospital. All special interests will be considered. This post requires a leader who works well within a wider team, who can draw on local skills to provide excellent care. You will have GMC registration with a current licence to practice, and ideally be on the Specialist Register or within 6-12 months of achieving CCT. This will be a twelve month contract initially, with the opportunity to apply for a substantive post once in situ. International doctors will be welcomed and visa sponsorship is available, please get in touch to discuss your individual situation. The department are happy to work with doctors who are taking the CESR route for specialist registration.
