Opportunity:

A great opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine to join a small but punchy hospital group in North East Scotland for a period of up to 12 months

Relatively small hospital, with 185 beds serving a catchment population of about 132,000.

This particular hospital is the Smallest District General Hospital in Scotland and therefore offers the benefits of an experience aligned to Rural Medicine in a small friendly setting and the opportunity to work across specialties

The current bed complement is divided between General Surgery, Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Acute Medical Assessment Unit, a Stroke Rehabilitation Ward and a Day Case Ward. There is also a Consultant Led Psychiatric Service. The hospital has recently been redeveloped, with modern equipment and user-friendly facilities throughout and there is a library and a Postgraduate Medical Centre with 24/7 access and videoconferencing facilities.

The post holder will spend much of their time with other clinicians, staff, and medical students.

In collaboration with the successful applicant and Clinical Leads, it may well be possible to experience a second clinical specialty or hospital base in the 12-month period
