- Specialist Anaesthetist – Kaitaia, New Zealand
We have an opportunity for an experienced Anaesthetist to join the small team at Kaitaia. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy based in the country’s northernmost hospital in the Far North region of New Zealand.
The Hospital is a general regional hospital serving a widely scattered population of approximately 24,000. The 28 bed hospital has a general; paediatric and maternity ward with all the supporting services, and is supported by Whangarei in providing secondary care services.

As the successful candidate, you will provide effective and high quality anaesthetic services to the Kaitaia and wider community. You will participate in teaching and training resident medical staff and students as well as occasional on-call services where the surgical cases require.
To be considered, you must have or be eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in an Anaesthetist vocational scope of practice.
