🌟 Scrub Practitioner – Elective Orthopaedics (Arthroplasty Essential) - Glasgow
Are you a skilled Theatre Practitioner looking for a flexible locum opportunity in a dynamic and supportive team?
We are currently seeking an experienced scrub practitioner for a 3-month locum contract, to start as soon as possible, with potential for extension. We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Elective orthopaedic scrub and arthroplasty experience is essential.
- If you are also trained in ophthalmology, this will be viewed favourably, offering additional opportunities for flexible theatre support.
- Available to work daytime hours across 7 days (no night shifts or on-call duties)
- Deliver expert scrub assistance for elective orthopaedic procedures, with a strong emphasis on primary and revision arthroplasty.
- Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile theatre environment, ensuring all instruments, implants, and equipment are available and set up accurately.
- Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and patient‑centred surgical care.
- Uphold theatre protocols, infection‑control standards, and patient safety procedures.
- When required (if dual‑skilled), provide scrub support within ophthalmology theatres
