Thongs - In Australia, thongs go on your feet! Flip flops are called thongs across Australia and in some regions they’re also called ‘go backs’ because they fall off and you’re always having to go back for them.
Cactus - If someone tells you that something is ‘cactus’, they mean that it’s broken.
Hooroo - If someone says ‘hooroo’ to you, they’re saying goodbye.
