Hi! I’m Amanda Gregory and I am Head Medical’s Recruitment Specialist for Asia, finding jobs for doctors in amazing countries like Singapore, China, and Vietnam. Outside of work I’m lucky to have two lovely little boys who keep me very busy! My husband and I love travelling and spending time with our friends (especially if fine food and wine is involved!).
My role as the Asia Recruitment Specialist is really varied, which I enjoy as no two days are the same. My time is spent developing relationships with clients (existing and new), getting to know doctors who are considering a move overseas, negotiating offers, writing adverts, getting to know new cities, and even trying to figure out if someone can relocate their pets to China!
My favourite aspects of the job include getting to know the locations to which we recruit, learning about the hospitals and clinics we help, and interviewing candidates. Hearing positive feedback from doctors about how they’ve settled into their new job and location is also one of my favourite things! With international recruitment it is imperative that both the role and location are a good fit for the doctor, especially if an entire family is relocating.
International recruitment gives me the opportunity to combine four of my passions – people, travel, great recruitment services, and business development. How many people can say that they truly enjoy going to work every day?
