What is a Making the Move event (and is it for me?)
Is working overseas really for me?
Possibly a question you and your family have been deliberating for a while now – or perhaps it’s something you’ve never really given much thought to until recently.
We have been helping doctors, just like you, find new jobs around the world (and helping them get there) for almost 10 years. Perhaps you want to find out more about what it’s like to work as a GP in Melbourne, or a more adventurous experience working as a rural GP in the outback? Perhaps you’re a Psychiatrist thinking about heading to the Middle East, or a Radiologist considering a move to New Zealand.
We use our Making the Move events to share all of our experience and knowledge with you – helping you decide whether a move overseas is right for you, if your expectations are in line with reality, or even if you are better suited to a part of the world you’d not previously considered.
You may have heard that the paperwork required for medical registration in another country can be daunting! At times it can indeed be a complex undertaking, but with the help of our expert registration and immigration consultants, we’ll get you through the process as smoothly as possible. We’ll talk through the documents and certificates you’ll need to dig out of the attic, and also discuss timelines so you’ll have a thorough understanding of what is required should you choose to accept a position.
At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with our specialist recruiters face to face, ask questions about the process, employment contracts, earnings, or more practical topics such as school systems and what you can do in your spare time.
We’ll also have a couple of our partners with us – Commonwealth Bank of Australia who can help with advice on the financial and practical aspects of relocating to ANZ, and Halo Financial who offer great insights into when and how to do your foreign exchange.
So come along to our next event, have a coffee and meet the team in a relaxed and informal setting.
Meet us in Dublin on 19th May and Edinburgh on 23rd June.
