There has been recent speculation around the RACGP’s Specialist Pathway Programme (SPP), causing uncertainty for GPs looking to make the move to Australia.
Nicky Gregory, Head of International GP Recruitment at Head Medical, responded to the speculation:
“We’ve been in contact with various authorities in Australia, including the RACGP, and it appears these rumours have arisen from a consultation paper that was released in February 2016. The RACGP have informed us that nothing from it has been implemented and it is business as usual.
Unless we hear differently, we are not expecting any changes to the pathway for GPs looking to relocate to Australia.”
