We've recently welcomed two new additions to our newly established UK Recruitment Team. They've been brought in to help UK Team Manager Jo Hood further develop this burgeoning side of the business, and there's a lot to keep them busy! First up, new recruit Karen Diamond introduces herself:
"An opportunity came up to join a specialist medical recruiter and I jumped at the chance! Working with Head Medical in the UK Recruitment team involves working with employers across the UK to supply them with highly experienced Consultants for either locum or permanent positions. It has been quite an eye-opener to see just how in demand UK Doctors are and how many opportunities exist across the British Isles.
I am delighted to be able to work with Doctors currently in the UK who are seeking a change, often to develop their areas of special interest, or to facilitate an improved work/life balance. I am also looking forward to supporting Doctors who have been working abroad and who now wish to return to the UK. We can offer such a fantastic opportunity here in Britain that there is a great interest from experienced overseas Doctors seeking their first UK post as well. The team are here to support Doctors throughout this process and to help you understand what it is like to live and work here, together with the processes to qualify for working in the UK, and to line up the right job of course.
There are a number of active vacancies at present, both locum and permanent, including some fantastic posts in the Scottish Borders for Consultant Anaesthetists and Ophthalmologists. Further south there are a range of positions available within Wales from Consultant Radiologists and Paediatricians to Psychiatrists and Orthopaedic Surgeons.
