Our people are central to all that we do and being a great employer is a clear part of our vision and strategy, so I am pleased to announce that we (Head Medical & Head Resourcing) have achieved the prestigious Investors in People Bronze Accreditation. Investors in People is the most successful framework for business improvement through people in the UK. Bronze organisations are considered to be advanced Investors in People, using the framework to meet their objectives and progressing well beyond the standard.
There are many highlights in the IIP Business Improvement Report, including positive feedback about career progression, learning and development and internal communication, and also around how our rebrand and new offices have energised the team, and there are also some great discussion points and recommendations around strategic planning, appraisals and CSR which we will implement.
The Executive Summary of our business improvement report opens with the following line, ‘It was a great pleasure to conduct this review; your company is an excellent example of one truly driven by its values, with inspirational leadership and a dedicated staff team who evidently enjoy their work and feel proud of their achievements.’ In a business where knowledge, experience and relationships are paramount, it's absolutely vital to us that we promote employee engagement internally and that we operate as a values driven organisation. Our culture is very much defined by our people, as we work together to create an environment where we love coming to work every day and are passionate about what we do.
As a team, we look forward to continuing to work with IIP, implementing some of their suggestions and reflecting on their feedback both internally and also with IIP and hopefully applying for Silver and then Gold accreditation over the next few reviews.
