For UK or Irish-trained Psychiatrist with CCT and MRCPsych, the medical registration process is very straightforward. RANZCP have adapted their process reflecting their recognition of these qualifications, meaning less time and significantly less cost. An interview is no longer required and Medical Council of New Zealand will simply undertake a paper-based assessment, which serves as final advice for Psychiatrist with these specific qualifications.
As such, medical registration and visa applications for New Zealand often take as little as 4-5 months to process and can be managed by our dedicated in-house team here at Head Medical. We are also able to provide support and advice in relation to financial matters such as salary negotiations, local taxes and insurance requirements.
