I joined Head Medical in 2009 and spent 14 years working as part of our Regulatory & Migration Team, providing support to our doctors with the entire regulatory application process across our full range of geographies. I gained licensing with the New Zealand Immigration Advisers Authority in 2010 and built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in NZ immigration law and procedure, which I focused on in later years as our in-house Licensed Immigration Adviser, as well as a period as a Registered Migration Agent in Australia. In 2023, I took on the role of Head of Business Operations & Compliance and now oversee the planning and execution of the routine functions and activities of the business, as well as its regulatory support operations, leading and supervising the day-to-day activities of two teams. My focus is on streamlining office operations to maximize quality and efficiency and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of all back-office support functions across the business, enabling the other operations to function effectively and the company to meet its goals and objectives.

I also have recently started helping Consultant Physicians relocate to Malta. I really enjoy speaking to different people from all around the world and being able to help them to secure their dream job as well as assisting them with relocation information and advice. There is no better feeling when you speak to your candidate once they have commenced in post (better still is when you get to meet them in person in their new destination) and they tell you that this was the best move they and their family have made!
Background: Born and educated in Edinburgh, I then spent 15 years working in the hotel and recruitment industries in the Scottish Highlands and also Wales. I have been with Head Medical for nearly 4 years, helping GPs and consultants with their registration paperwork as they prepare to relocate to Australia, New Zealand and Qatar.
After nearly 4 years of being part of the registration team, I have transitioned into the recruitment team and will be now helping GPs find their dream jobs in Australia and Canada.
My favourite part of my job is building relationships with my doctors and their families as they embark on their new exciting new adventure.
Background: Born and raised in New Zealand, I came to Scotland with my Granny for a month when I was 11 and have been obsessed with moving over ever since.
I went to University in Wellington then started out working as a Private Secretary for a Minister in Parliament, followed by a few temp roles before moving to Scotland and working as an Office Manager at an estate agency firm.

I have been with Head Medical since 2018, initially recruiting locum GPs in Scotland. I was delighted to be part of the IGPR programme, recruiting permanent international family doctors for NHS England. In March 2019 we launched our Head Medical Theatre Division. We have a wonderful team of Theatre Nurses and ODPs who work in locum assignments across Scotland. Our clients are part of both the NHS and private sectors. I also recruit permanent Registered Nurses for Bermuda. In January 2020 I was promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant.
I have seventeen years of recruitment experience within the healthcare industry. Over the years I have sent nurses and ODPs to the Falklands, Channel Islands, Western Isles, and most recently Bermuda. We have current vacancies in Gibraltar too. I love calling candidates up and saying “do you fancy a wee adventure?”

Background: I am a Senior member of the Registration Team at Head Medical, and a Licensed Immigration Adviser with the Immigration Advisers Authority of New Zealand. I provide support to our candidates with their Medical Registration and Immigration paperwork as they prepare to relocate overseas.
I currently predominantly provide assistance to our candidates relocating to New Zealand, however I also have experience and provide support from time to time with the registration processes for Australia, Qatar, Singapore, China, Bermuda and the Caribbean, across a range of specialisms. My days are spent talking with candidates and clients to provide advice and guidance on the process, assisting in preparing the necessary applications and gathering the required paperwork, and helping in any way that I can to ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible for all involved.
Working in the registration team gives me a great opportunity to get to know the candidates as they navigate their way through what can be quite a complex process, so it’s really rewarding to help them successfully start in their new role overseas.

Background: Born in Livingston and grew up in West Lothian, I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2017 studying History. After university, I moved down to London and started working in Healthcare Recruitment. My role would be helping and supporting International doctors find their first role in the NHS. I have worked in recruitment for 5 years. Recently my partner and I decided to relocate back to Edinburgh in September 2021.

Background: I started my recruitment career back in 2018 where I initially worked in oil and gas. Since then, I have moved into healthcare and look forward to starting my next chapter with Head Medical.
Loves: Spending time with family and friends and I have an obsession with dogs!
Dream destination: I would love to do an African safari one day!
Inspired by: My nana was a big inspiration in my life. She worked so hard to raise two girls and work a full-time job whilst my papa worked abroad for 6 months of the year.

Claim to fame: I was a gymnast for 7 years and won various Scottish championships as well as British championships (if this counts!)
Special talent: Naturally you would think it would be something related to gymnastics, however, I can eat an onion raw (like eating an apple)

Background: I was born and raised in Dumfries and Galloway but I have lived in Edinburgh for 9 years now. The majority of my work experience has been in education; I have undertaken roles such as a Support for Learning Assistant, Nursery Deputy Manager and an ESL Teacher. I have also worked in an Employability role where I supported people out of work and school leavers into employment or further education. However before starting my working career I spent time travelling through South Africa, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Loves: Spending time with friends and family, travelling, reading in cozy nooks and walks/picnics in forests.
Best Travel Memory: Sailing down a river in China on a bamboo boat after being stranded in a small village in the middle of nowhere.
