Head of Consultant Recruitment – International
Background: Thoroughly enjoyed the last 20 years in the recruitment industry covering a variety of different specialisms. I still love the thrill of finding the perfect candidate for a job or the perfect job for a candidate – it’s amazing the value you can add to someone’s life. I’m a great believer in getting to know my clients and candidates to enable me to present them with the right opportunities. Moving job (and country!) can be life-changing and I always take the time to ensure all the relevant research has been done to make the best match possible.
I manage the most amazing team of people at Head Medical’s International Consultancy division – they are all highly specialist in their areas and very passionate about what they do. And great fun to work with!
Loves: Wine – especially Amarone, and my husband (although maybe not in that order…)
Dream Destinations: I absolutely love Scotland! I feel so blessed to live in this beautiful country, with my favourites being the Isle of Arran and the Highlands. The west coast of Scotland is stunning (but we could do with a bit more sunshine and less rain!). Farther afield I love Martha’s Vineyard in the US. I’m also amazed by Dubai! I am always intrigued to see the development of the city every time I visit.
Inspired By: My mum – the most amazing and inspirational person ever.
Best Gulf Memory: Sitting on the deserted beach in Fujairah at 6am watching the stunning sunrise come up over the water while a few local fisherman quietly went out on their tiny boats for the day’s catch.
Claim to Fame: Chatting to Sir Chris Hoy on a flight from Glasgow to London in 2012 but had no idea who he was until I watched the Olympics that year.
Special Talent: When playing tennis if I have no chance of reaching a backhand shot I automatically throw my racket into my left hand for that extra few inches of reach!
Favourite Song: Groove Armada – At the River
Never Seen Without: Lip Balm
Favourite Word/Phrase: No worries
Happiest Memory: My wedding day
