We are seeking a Gastroenterology Consultant for a job working with the Nelson/Marlborough District Health Board. Nelson is renowned for its sunny climate, and can comfortably claim the most sunshine hours in New Zealand. World-class wineries, golden beaches and National Parks teamed with a family friendly culture and nationally recognised schooling make this an ideal location for a Doctor to make a permanent move overseas.
The Role
- This is a permanent position working 80 hours a fortnight
- Currently providing General Internal Medical inpatient and outpatient services plus a range of sub-specialty services
- Serving a population of 132,000
- Applicants will require a strong commitment to comprehensive care within General Internal Medicine
- Involvement in the acute roster for admission and ongoing care of undifferentiated acute adult hospital presentations
- Contribution to the training of Junior Doctors and development of other clinical staff

Requirements
- FRACP or equivalent and vocational registration in New Zealand
- Specialist accreditation recognised by the NZ Gastroenterology Society
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Training in General Internal Medicine
- Ability to function as an autonomous consultant in a provincial hospital
