You will be part of an integrated wellness program incorporating substance misuse & behavioural disorders track, lifestyle interventions, chronic pain, sleep management, and smoking cessations tracksWorking with leaders in their respective fields of addictions and health and wellness. 

The post is based in a state-of-the art facility for the treatment and rehabilitation of people experiencing substance abuse problems.

The vision of the project sponsor is to provide a 5 star + hospitality resort which sympathetically connects with the clinical aspects required for the care of guests undergoing care and their visiting relatives and friends. The Facility provides 127 units of residential accommodation, outpatient and day care service and offers a wide range of business and hospitality functionality situated in 3 hectares of landscape grounds

To work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of medical care, which encompasses clinical assessment, treatment and management of patients across a wide range of clinical areas including mental health disorders, lifestyle modification and chronic pain.

Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of the task force assisting in the setup, organization and operation of clinical services.

Clinical Duties

  • To assess a client’s medical and mental health using a variety of diagnostic tests and through interviews and direct observation.
  • To examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on clients to provide information on general medical and mental health.
  • To analyse and evaluate client data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of medical or mental disorder.
  • To prescribe, direct or administer pharmacologic and/or psychotherapeutic treatments, in collaboration with MDT, to treat medical and mental health.

Educational Duties

  • To assist in conducting clinical research, adding to the evidence base of practice in addictions and related areas.
  • To teach, undertake an agreed program of continuing professional development and attend conferences or seminars to increase the personal and collective understanding of general health.
  • To assist in the teaching of other multidisciplinary team members, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others to promote knowledge of mental health to patient care.

To be eligible for this post you must have received your Primary Medical degree in the UK and have current relevant addictions experience (5 years + experience desirable)
