Head Medical is working with a well-established Tasmanian health service to recruit a Urology Registrar / Senior Doctor into a busy and well-supported tertiary unit.
- Dedicated 12-month Urology post with no sub-specialty crossover
- Exposure within a busy, accredited tertiary referral unit
- Structured training programme with protected teaching time
- Salary AUD $138,978 – $194,675(commensurate with experience)
- Relocation support
- 12 month contract commencing February 2027
The Role
Based in Northern Tasmania, this role is part of a well-integrated health service delivering care to a welcoming and engaged community.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients within the Urology unit, working with senior clinical support as part of a collaborative surgical team.
This role offers strong clinical exposure and the opportunity to:
- Manage surgical inpatients and support procedural care
- Supervise Resident Medical Officers in clinical management and procedures
- Participate in unit meetings, audit, quality improvement and research activity
- Contribute to a well-established training environment
This is a non-accredited Registrar role, ideal for doctors looking to further develop their surgical skillset within a focused specialty service.
You will also benefit from:
- 10 hours of protected training time per fortnight
- Supportive consultant supervision
- Opportunities to engage in teaching and academic activity
Requirements
- Eligible for registration with AHPRA via the Competent Authority pathway
- Surgical experience at Registrar or equivalent level
- Interest in Urology desirable
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
