The Role and Hospital
Clinical experience and skills in Otolaryngology, for a wide range of procedures are essential.  The successful applicant will assist the Director of Surgery in ensuring that Otolaryngology Services provided by Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner. The position assists with the education and supervision of surgical trainees and other medical staff, medical students, allied health, interested community groups and nursing staff.

Rockhampton Hospital (305 bed) is the main referral hospital for the Central Queensland region and has four operating theatres and two procedure rooms.  The operating theatre complex is supported by a 6 bed ICU/HDU. The region offers a superb lifestyle and a healthy family environment with a range of cultural, recreational and sporting activities. Real estate prices are extremely affordable with a choice of town, coast or country living. House prices and availability mean you can choose the house you want instead of compromising in a major metropolitan city. This means tropical garden, swimming pool etc.

Stroll along the river, drive out to the coast exploring the many beaches, the Carnarvon National Park, the botanic gardens, as well as the Great Barrier Reef.
