The Hospital and Location
One of the many rewards of this post is a sensational coastal subtropical lifestyle in Australia. Of course, it also offers an ideal role if you are looking for a new professional overseas challenge or getting your foot in the door in Australia with your first job in Australia.

It is a regional town (not remote) of approx. 50,000 inhabitants known for its deep sea harbour and port, and as a lifestyle choice for those seeking a change in pace enabling a true work/life balance. Feedback from Consultants placed in Queensland previously regularly cites a greater balance between work and leisure time.

The Hospital caters to a regional population of approximately 65,000 incorporating smaller rural/coastal settlements within its catchment area. The Hospital is a 70 bed facility and has approximately 282 full time equivalent staff who deliver services across acute, community and primary care.

The region offers a superb lifestyle and a healthy family environment with a range of cultural recreational and sporting activities. Real estate prices are affordable with a choice of city, coast or country living. Stroll along the beach, snorkel on the reef, drive out into the country or spend time in the city - the lifestyle is peaceful and serene here. You will have access to water sports and sailing activities, the best seafood Queensland has to offer, and of course, the fabulous Southern Great Barrier Reef.
