Rockhampton Hospital (305 bed) is the main referral hospital for the Central Queensland region.

Rockhampton
Rockhampton’s history can be seen in its palm tree-lined streets and grand old heritage buildings – some of which have been restored to give the city a real charm.

The region offers a superb lifestyle and a healthy family environment with a range of cultural, recreational and sporting activities. Real estate prices are extremely affordable with a choice of town, coast or country living. House prices and availability mean you can choose the house you want instead of compromising in a major metropolitan city. This means tropical garden, swimming pool etc.

There is a good choice of private and public schools.

Stroll along the river, drive out to the coast exploring the many beaches, the Carnarvon National Park, the botanic gardens, as well as the Great Barrier Reef.

You will be an experienced clinician with a range of experience in ophthalmology. You will be competent and confident in working autonomously and from time to time in outreach clinics in the region.
