Specialty Doctor – General Adult Psychiatry (South East of England)
An opportunity is available for an experienced Specialty Doctor to take up a post on an inpatient general adult psychiatry ward. You will be available to start asap and the contract is expected to run until February 2021, with potential for extension. Based in a fantastic location in the south east of England, you are within easy reach of the coast, the South Downs National Park or under an hour by train to central London.
GMC General Registration and a current license to practise is essential and MRCPsych (or equivalent) is highly desirable. This is a full-time post (10 Pas) and your week will be split with 3 days on the General Adult Acute ward and 2 days with the Acute Mental Health Team. There is a strong support team already in place, and they have a well-deserved reputation for training junior doctors and medical students. There is a weekly academic afternoon, including an active journal club, case presentations, audit programme and opportunity to work in quality improvement projects within the trust. You will have a designated clinical supervisor assigned to you.
