Seeking – Consultants in General Adult Psychiatry and Consultants in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry – Republic of Ireland – 1 year contract
Located in the south-west of Ireland, Kerry is a stunning location with the Ring of Kerry a popular scenic driving route skiting the edges of the Iveragh Peninsula. Within the county of Kerry, you will find the 26,000 acre Killarney National Park where you can explore the lakes and woodlands and enjoy the diverse wildlife.
Working in the Republic of Ireland, part of the European Union, you will be immersed in a very friendly and welcoming culture. Towns and villages are small and easy to navigate, with well connected communities.
The Mental Health Service is divided into different sectors and we can discuss options which might be suitable for your individual skills and interests, such as rehabilitation, community/outpatients etc. You will be fully supported to transition into the Irish healthcare service and have the ongoing support of an excellent Clinical Director, alongside your sectors full multi-disciplinary team.
I can support you with your application for specialist registration with the Medical Council of Ireland which will be required for the post and we can discuss the process at your convenience.
Salaries for experienced Psychiatrists in Ireland are the highest in Europe at circa €200,000 per annum, based upon years of reckonable service as a Consultant. You will receive additional payments for on call availability and for taking calls out of hours. A generous annual leave and study leave allowance will be provided, sick pay where needed and you will have a supportive employer who will work with you to support your/your families relocation to Ireland.
