THE ROLE
As Practice Clinical Lead you will provide leadership and accountability for the delivery of a safe, efficient and reliable clinical service achieving the standards set out within the local APMS contract at its inception and to improve upon the quality of the service throughout the lifetime of the contract.
You may be given the opportunity to manage more than one related clinical service, with care taken to ensure you are not over-committed or you may choose to manage a single Practice site overseeing the clinical services running within it.
You will deliver primary care services via surgeries, clinics and visits. Make assessments of and develop patient care plans for health
You will provide clinical leadership for the delivery of the particular clinical service and manage the identification and implementation of key processes (both primary and internal) that support the clinical service as a whole. Be involved in the recruitment of good quality staff and support the systems in place for mentoring, appraisal, professional development and support.
As part of your role you will pursue the highest quality outcomes of care maintaining a patient focus for the delivery of the service. As a Senior member of the team, we will look to you to promote a culture of change and innovation, eliminating wasteful activities.
Utilising your well developed leadership and motivational skills you will review patient satisfaction, staff feedback and performance as well as providing mentorship and support to nurses in the practice undergoing non-medical prescribing and advanced clinical skills development.
To be considered for this role you must be registered with the GMC and listed on the GP register and registered on the National Medical Performers list.
Experience of working in different sectors within the NHS would be an advantage but not essential
