The Role
Based in Northern Tasmania, this role sits within a friendly and collaborative health service delivering care to a close-knit community. You will contribute to the day-to-day management of Plastic Surgery patients, working within your clinical privileges as part of a supportive surgical team.
This position offers excellent breadth of experience, including:
- Operative exposure
- Emergency presentations
- Outpatient clinics
- Participation in an on-call roster
This is a non-accredited Registrar role, well suited to doctors looking to build further hands-on surgical experience within a structured and supportive service.
You’ll also benefit from:
- 10 hours of protected training time per fortnight
- Strong consultant support and supervision
- Opportunities to engage in teaching and research
Requirements
- Eligible for registration with AHPRA via the Competent Authority pathway
- Surgical experience at Registrar level or equivalent
- Able to commit to a 12-month contract commencing February 2027
- Interest or prior exposure in Plastic Surgery desirable
