- PGY4 +
- MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the AHPRA is mandatory
- Candidates must have current medical registration from a comparable health authority

Rockhampton Hospital is a 227 bed hospital and the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. It now provides integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment. The Sub Acute Geriatric Unit (SAGE) houses sixteen sub-acute geriatric evaluation beds and eleven interim care beds. Specialist Medical Services offered at the Rockhampton Hospital include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthetics. There are also a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland.
Gladstone Hospital is a 70 bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine, and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics. The Hospital has adopted an integrated approach to service delivery to ensure continuity, effectiveness and efficiency in the provision of health care.
