The location
The practice is located in Kingaroy, a rural town in the South Burnett Region in Queensland that is home to just over 10,000 people. It is best known for its picturesque farmlands and low rolling hills; however, its infamy comes from being the “peanut capital of Australia” with Australia’s largest peanut processing plant’s silos dominating the skyline. While it is a more rural location being just over 2 ½ hours inland from both the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, Kingaroy is a thriving township with numerous large retail chains and services you would expect to find in larger towns.
There is plenty to do for outdoor enthusiasts, from the sundry of walking tracks through the Bunya Mountains to the swimming holes at the nearby Coomba falls. However, if you are seeking more leisurely activities there are an abundance of these to be enjoyed; Get behind the lens at the Observation Dec, wander through the spectacular fields of purple blooms at the local lavender farms or explore the vineyards of the South Burnett wine region.
What Head Medical can do for you
Arranging a position overseas is very exciting, but we understand that it can also be daunting and time consuming. We’re the UK’s specialist in international medical recruitment and we’ve helped many Doctors relocate since we first started out in 2008 (you can read what people have said about working with us on our testimonials page). We know it’s important to balance career opportunities with lifestyle and we’ll talk through your plans and will get to know you to make sure we find the right role in the right location.
Once we have secured a job for you, we’ll manage the Medical Registration and Visa application process, and support you (and your family) with the relocation itself.
