This is a great opportunity suited to those keen to gain experience in a different healthcare system, whilst further broadening both clinical and procedural skills. You will be based at Hawke’s Bay Hospital in Hasting and should ideally possess a minimum of 9-12 months experience within O&G.

You will be based in a large secondary level, 400 bed accredited public hospital providing acute and elective care for a region of over 162,000 people. It is one of the largest provincial hospitals in New Zealand. The hospital is modern with a full range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. In addition, outreach services are provided at rural and community based facilities across the region in Wairoa and Waipukurau. You will have the full support of seven Specialist Consultants and work closely with eight House Officers. While enjoying a wide variety of inpatient cases, you will also be expected to attend Women’s Outpatients and work in the Surgical Ward, Operating Theatre, Acute Admissions Unit, Emergency Department, Early Pregnancy Clinic.
