This role will see you work in a newly developed hospital based in MacKay, a growing regional city with a population of over 125,000 people. The hospital is fully digital with leading edge technology to assist staff to provide the highest level of comfort and care to their patients.
The Mackay Mental Health Service comprises of an acute mental health inpatient facility with 24 beds and a Step Up Step Down Unit with 6 beds. Community Mental Health Services include an Acute Care Service, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Continuing Care Team, Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team, Early Psychosis, Child and Youth Mental Health, Older Persons Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drug Service. The rural communities are serviced by outreaching community teams in the Moranbah and Whitsunday area.
The role will see you provide, develop and maintain an effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to hospital clients.
This role commences in August 2020 but suitable candidates must be able to start the recruitment process immediately.
You will hold general registration or be eligible for provisional general registration with AHPRA via the Competent Authority Pathway. There are various pathways for registration and Head Medical can advise you of your eligibility if you are unsure.
