If you are an Oncology Registrar looking for the next step in your career, have you considered working abroad?  This is an excellent opportunity to experience new ways of working within a unique environment that will greatly broaden your skill set and knowledge.  We could have just the opportunity you didn't even know you were looking for!

Head Medical are keen to speak to suitable Registrars to join a new cancer unit which is rapidly expanding its services.  The unit is based in the largest hospital in the region which is in the northern part of North Island, New Zealand and is assisted by 3 regional hospitals.  The centre is primarily an outpatient service offering day stay chemotherapy, and part of your role would be to assist the acute medical team with management of patients on treatment requiring admission.  You will work closely with senior medical staff and will benefit from training via various sources including didactive sessions, interactive based teaching, journal club and videoconferencing of RACP lectures.

The sub-tropical Northland region stretches from Auckland up to the very top of New Zealand and is the perfect blend of history, culture and coastline, making it a great location for all interests.  Use your days off to go exploring or to simply enjoy the laidback lifestyle together with the glorious weather.

This role commences in June 2020 and interested candidates must be able to start the recruitment process straight away.  The duration of the contract can be flexible for the right person, whether you want to take year out and spend 12 months there or you may decide you would like to stay permanently.

Suitable candidates must hold general registration or be eligible for provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.  There are different registration pathways for NZ and we can advise you on your eligibility if you are unsure.
