We are currently looking for a Medical Oncologist who ideally has a strong background or interest in Breast cancer but we are also open to other areas of interest and background. The Northern Regional Cancer Service is engaged in collaboration with the University of Auckland within the Academic Health Alliance and you will ideally have experience in facilitating research programmes and contributing to excellence in research initiatives, and/or interest in an academic position.
You will be part of the Medical Oncology department within the Northern Regional Cancer and Blood Service; with very close links with radiation oncology, haematology and palliative care services on the same site. The unit runs a tumour stream model of care with 18 full-time equivalent medical oncologists, 7 advanced trainee registrars and 3 rotating medical registrars.
You must have a FRACP qualification or equivalent and must be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Medical Council. A higher degree (MD, PhD) is desirable. Please note, you will be required to provide source verification of your qualifications for your registration application.
