We are working with Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) to find an experienced Consultant/Specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine - Obstetrics and Gynaecology situated in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington. You will be based in a state-of-the-art tertiary hospital, renowned for its teaching and research opportunities, whilst embracing the famous Kiwi lifestyle with your family in a vibrant and cosmopolitan city downunder.
CCDHB is located centrally in Wellington and has the equivalent of around 4,300 full time staff. They are the leading provider of a number of specialist services, including neurosurgery, oncology, neonatal intensive care, specialised mental health services and support a population of about 900,000 people.

As one of only two MFM departments in New Zealand, the Wellington MFM service is committed to providing high quality, state-of-the-art care to this complex subgroup of patients. A comprehensive diagnostic and interventional tertiary ultrasound service for Women’s Health Service is also provided within the MFM department. The MFM Specialist works with a team of qualified sonographers, other subspecialists and a Fellow.
The Women’s Health Service is a tertiary provider of Obstetric and Gynaecology services. Services are provided over three sites; Wellington, Kenepuru and Paraparaumu. Obstetric services provide for approximately 3,600 births per annum, and include a maternal fetal medicine service and perinatal ultrasound department.
We are seeking an experienced MFM specialist with sub specialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Women’s Ultrasound Scanning. A CMFM or equivalent qualification is required. You will have Registration with NZ Medical Council, Vocational Registration in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and hold a current APC.
