I have a brilliant opportunity for a Locum GP to spend the summer in the Central Belt of Scotland. The practice is situated mid-way between Edinburgh and Glasgow,, so you would be in a perfect position to enjoy the world's biggest arts festival in the evenings and at weekends. I am looking for cover throughout July and August, and can book individual weeks.
"The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the single biggest celebration of arts and culture on the planet. Every August for three weeks the city of Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital, welcomes an explosion of creative energy from around the globe." - Edinburgh Fringe Website
The practice itself has 9000 patients, and uses EMIS. As a locum, you would be expected to do the following:
- 10 X 15 minute appointments morning and afternoon
- Share of Home Visits
- Share of Paperwork
- Telephone Consultations
- On-call session either morning or afternoon as directed by the Rota. The On-call GP provides support to the Practice Team and is responsible for the allocation and action of Housecalls, Urgent GP tasks and paperwork.
The pay rate is £625 per day and sessions run from 08:00 - 18:00 (half days can be accommodated too). This is a 2C practice, and falls inside IR35. Accommodation will be provided. You will need to be on the Forth Valley Performers List, and registered with the GMC.
