Head Medical have an exciting opportunity for Consultant’s in Diabetes & Endocrinology to work within a passionate and forward-thinking team based within the William Harvey Hospital in East Kent NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful applicant will join a highly motivated, integrated group of diabetes care providers and will be expected to be an active contributor. There is a good link with the combined pituitary MDT at Kings College hospital, London, with regular interaction with the neurosurgical and endocrine teams.
The department is well supported by a team of research nurses enabling the expansion of the research portfolio, should the applicant wish to be involved in clinical trials. Involvement in the training of medical students from Guys, Kings and St Thomas medical schools in addition to post graduate supervision will be an integral part of the post. These will ensure that there is ample opportunity for the applicant to develop the academic aspect of the post should this be a keen interest.
This exciting opportunity is offered on a full or part time basis and those requiring visa's will be considered. Discussions can be held for specific individual requirements, including the ability to have fixed weekdays off if required. The appointee will be expected to participate in the acute general medicine on-call rota, including AMU rounds in the afternoon, evening and post-take period.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Hold Specialist Registration with the GMC or be eligible for entry via CCST within 6 months of interview date.
- MRCP.
Salary will follow NHS pay scales and be from £84,559 up to £114,003 dependent on experience. This job is subject to a police check. Those requiring Tier 2 visas will be considered.
