About the service:
Our team, located in Hamilton are supported by modern, well-equipped histology and cytology laboratories with an enthusiastic and skilled scientific workforce. We have access to a wide range of diagnostic stains and techniques. The Hospital Anatomical Pathology Laboratory processes over 18,000 surgical cases per year and over 2200 cytology cases per year.
About the role:
As a result of continued growth in service, the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory are seeking to recruit additional full-time pathologists to join our existing team of 10 Pathologists and 2 Registrars.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Whilst there is a general reporting component, you will be encouraged to develop or continue in an area of special interest in line with the needs of the service.
- Participation in multi-disciplinary meetings and in the after-hours on call roster is expected.
Required skills & experience:
- Applicants must hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
