I am currently looking for a Registered Nurse (Band 5) to work in Surgical - Orthopaedic wards. This is a fantastic opportunity to live and work on the beautiful island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. The post includes permanent salary which is higher than average in the UK mainland and there is a full relocation package included.
Grade: Band 5 £36,899 - £42,779 BAR £43,954 - £47,590 per annum, depending on experience.
The position is for the De Sausmarez Ward, a 15 - 18 bedded trauma ward, and De Havilland, a 9 bedded elective unit while also supporting the Orthopaedic Pre-Assessment Clinic. The Orthopaedic nursing staff rotate between the wards to allow for ongoing training and development.
De Sausmarez Ward manages orthopaedic trauma patients. This includes spinal injuries, upper and lower limb fractures, and back pain. Many have complicated nursing needs, require Multi-disciplinary team input, and complex discharge planning.
Requirements: Current registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council. Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills: Competent in IV drugs administration. Approved Mentor course at Level 2 or equivalent.
