Work with a privately owned and operated practice situated on the North coast of Tasmania. This is an extremely popular region for families moving into Tasmania and has a growing population, excellent schools and a beach lifestyle without the teaming crowds.
You can earn a great income, buy a beautiful modern beachside house and the kids can safely walk to school. Say good bye to traffic jams, road rage and long hours commuting to and from work.
The practice is a training practice for GP registrars and hosts university students too; they welcome applications from doctors who are interested in supporting the GP training program in Australia.
The practice is a GP owned and operated group practice and they currently have 7 doctors working at the practice who are supported by four nurses. There are also a number of visiting allied health professionals and a nearby pharmacy.
Consulting hours are:
8.30am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday
9.00am and 12.00pm Saturday shared on a roster basis
They offer patients a mixture of bulk and private billing and doctors at the practice earn an excellent income based on 15 minute appointments.
Tasmania is a truly unique location. Australia’s southernmost state offers clean, white sandy beaches, forests of Huon Pine and massive tree ferns and pristine mountain lakes. Whether it is high culture, the arts and great music you are after or hiking, diving and fishing….Tassie has it all.
With a temperate climate, it doesn’t suffer the wild fluctuations that other regions do. The summer nights are warm and mild and seem to stretch for ever and in Winter; snuggle up in front of the camp fire and watch the Aurora Australis flicker overhead.
