This Irish GP moved to Western Australia in 2012 and “fell in love with the place”. He set up his own practice in May 2016 which now has 7 doctors and needs another to join the team.

The surgery focuses on quality and patient-centred medical care. Situated in a busy shopping centre directly opposite a pharmacy, it has a highly visible profile and high patient demand.

The surgery is based in a beautiful growing suburb 45 minutes south of Perth. The doctor who owbs the practice has lived in the area since 2012 and has an excellent working knowledge of local health providers, hospitals, referral pathways etc. He can offer invaluable guidance to GP's who are relocating.

It is a great area to work, 2 minutes’ drive to beautiful beaches and a lovely patient base.

As it is non-corporate, GP's will be treated as a valued asset and not just another doctor. The GP owner will work closely with his fellow doctors to guide and develop any special interests they might have. Their arrival and special interests will be advertised through various mediums including local media and via the internet to ensure that they quickly build up a strong patient base.

There will be plenty of scope to develop special interests as there is high demand in the area e.g. skin cancer, occupational health, chronic disease management, cosmetic medicine etc. Billing will be a good mix of medicare, private and occupational.

The medical centre is a brand new, state of the art modern design, fitted out to the highest standard; 6 consulting room, physio/allied health room, 2 x procedure rooms, 3 bed treatment and triage room with nurses’ station.

There is onsite pathology, physiotherapy and psychology, other visiting allied health specialist are planned.  The practice is supported by a full time Practice Manager, full time Chronic Disease Management Nurse, full time senior nurse with occupational health experience, reception and admin staff.  Full IT support with Best Practice Software.

It is mixed billing, GP's will earn 65% of billings with a guarantee of $150/hr. for the first 3 months. Billings can be increased to 70% after 12 months if the GP reaches a set target. This should equate to $300-400k per annum. The Dr himself bills well in excess of this and is confident that with his support the other GP's will do the same.

The practice will be open Monday - Saturday and 8am – 6pm GPs with weekends covered on a rota basis.
