Experienced GP required for family practice in north west Melbourne suburbs.

The Role

This practice is a bulk billing family practice which is non-corporate located in the north western suburbs of Melbourne.

The practice has been established since 2011 and has a busy patient base of 10,000 , they are now in need of an additional GP to help with increasing patient numbers.   Currently they have 6 fte GPs working here and need 1 other.

The practice is modern, fully computerised and provides a nice working environment.  The GPs are supported by full time nurses who assist with care plans and they also have on site pathology, psychologist, podiatrist, dietician and speech pathologist.

This is a full time position. Doctors generally see 4-5 patients per hour which are appointment based with a few walk ins.

Practice hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 9pm and Saturday 9-5pm.  After hours work on a shared roster and are 1 evening finish per week and 1:4 Saturdays.

The patient demographics are mostly young families.  Some experience in emergency care would be useful along with minor surgical procedures.

  • 70% billings
  • $120ph minimum guarantee for the first 3 months
  • 2-3 year minimum contract
  • Expected earnings $300k pa (approx. £150k pa)

To be considered for this position you must have MRCGP/CCT/MICGP/FRACGP or equivalent.

The practice is located in the north western suburbs 30km from Melbourne CBD, around 30 minutes drive.
