The Role
This practice combines integrative medicine, nutritional medicine and mind body medicine in addition to western/conventional medicine, offering a whole range of services and solutions to their patients. It is desirable that you will have an interest in developing your skills and experience within these areas. They have weekly tutorials with the GP owner and plenty of online courses waiting for you to take advantage of.
They have recently passed their accreditation with flying colours and have been established for 5 years, they have recently relocated to a new bigger premises. There are currently 4 GPs working here and they are seeking an additional doctor due to patient demand. They have an experienced management team, nurses and dispensary on site.
As this practice works to a different model to most other practices, you can expect to see 2-3 patients per hour maximum, with a new patient consultation taking an hour.
All of the staff enjoy a positive work life balance and working a 4 day week here are encouraged.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. No weekends or after hours.
- 60% of private billings
- Minimum guarantee for settling in period
- 4 day working week
- Expected income in the region of $200k pa.
To be considered for this position you must have MRCGP / CCT / MICGP / FRACGP or equivalent.
The location
The Mornington Peninsula is around a 1 hour drive south of Melbourne CBD and offers a great lifestyle if you are looking for a slower pace of life to that of the big city. Based yourself in a quaint seaside town with miles of lovely beaches to choose from. Vineyards a plenty, golf courses, boating and more are all available in abundance. A wide choice of schools, recreational facilities and affordable housing are all readily available.
