This is an established practice in the town of Airlie Beach in northern Queensland.
The practice is modern and has state of the art equipment, it has recently expanded and now accommodates 4 doctors who have been there long term and currently 2 registrars. They also have nursing support and a great treatment room.
The practice is open 6 days a week Monday to Saturday from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
The doctors usually work a rotating roster and mostly work a 4 day week of 9 hours (with an hour lunch break) which means they sometimes even get a four day weekend depending on how the roster falls, which is appreciated by the doctors. Rosters can however be discussed with the practice manager.
The practice is bulk billing and services the locals and many tourists in the area. The doctors also look after the many islands off Airlie consulting with the nurses on the island when required.
To be considered for this position you must have either VR or General Registration in Australia or have MRCGP/MICGP/ FRACGP or equivalent.
Airlie Beach is around 700 miles north of Brisbane – there is a domestic airport just 30 minutes away connecting you to Brisbane in just 1hr and 30 minutes.
