Katherine; where the outback meets the tropics. It is a region full of gorges and misty waterfalls, thermal springs and ancient cultures.
It is an easy-going town located approximately 300 kilometres south of Darwin. The Katherine River flows through the township and it is the fourth largest town in the Northern Territory. Its young population and friendly environment make it a great place for families. It’s the kind of place where everyone takes the time to say hello.
Many people move to Katherine for work - and enjoy the place so much they decide to make it home. There’s plenty to do in and around Katherine. Nitmiluk National Park is the area’s main tourist attraction. The stunning Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge has ancient rock art and is a great place to spend a day with the family, relaxing or getting active with bush walks and canoeing.
What Head Medical can do for you
Arranging a position overseas is very exciting, but we understand that it can also be daunting and time consuming. We’re the UK's specialist in international medical recruitment and we‘ve helped many Doctors relocate since we first started out in 2008 (you can read what people have said about working with us on our testimonials page). We know it’s important to balance career opportunities with lifestyle and we’ll talk through your plans and will get to know you to make sure we find the right role in the right location.
Once we have secured a job for you, we’ll manage the Medical Registration and Visa application process, and support you (and your family) with the relocation itself.
