We are looking for a Consultant who is dual trained in general medicine and geriatric medicine to join this exciting new venture.
Our General Medicine service is the largest in NZ and offers wide experience with supportive specialities and good trainees.
This role will assist in providing coordinated and specialised care pathway for the acute care of the frail elderly.
We have a diverse population with a variety of interesting, stimulating and challenging medical presentations serving a population of 580,000 people across two hospitals. To be successful in this role you will deliver excellent clinical services with the support of junior medical staff, management and other health professionals in a collegial and collaborative environment.
You will be highly motivated to support resident medical officers preparing in their physician training. Experience in teaching and a keen interest in the future development of our training programmes are essential.
