We are seeking a Consultant General Surgeon with a Breast Sub-specialty interest to be based in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington. This is a great opportunity to experience a clinical role in a state of the art tertiary hospital renowned for its teaching and research opportunities, as well as the chance to enjoy the Kiwi lifestyle in a vibrant and cosmopolitan city.

The Role

The General Surgery Department provides specialist tertiary level care to the central North Island (population of approximately 921,000) and secondary level services to acute and elective general surgical patients in the Wellington region (population of approximately 250,000)

You will provide a high standard of clinical practice to patients under your care. As part of this role, there is an opportunity to participate in quality improvement activities including research and audit of current clinical practice.  Additionally, you should be willing to assist with the supervision and teaching of Junior Doctors within the General Surgery department.
