This is an opportunity for FY1/2 Doctors interested in taking a year to experience the healthcare system down under, before returning home to complete their training.

The Requirements

  • PGY1-2 
  • MBBS or equivalent with current MCNZ registration or/
  • Eligibility for MCNZ registration via Competent Authority Pathway
  • Comparable pathway - UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, NZ, Australia only
  • Successful Criminal Record Screening clearance
  • Successful Pre-Employment Integrity check
  • Successful Pre-Employment Health Assessment​




As part of a small team, you'll have excellent access to your Registrar & Consultant, and unrivalled opportunities to experience any of the varied presentations to the hospital - ensuring an enviable broad skill base that you'll put to excellent use in your burgeoning career. With 24/7 access to the library, weekly teaching and Grand Rounds, journal clubs and regular RMO forums you'll be continually supported in your development.

This position will involve working closely with the Consultants in various specialties with the opportunity to rotate throughout the different departments.

Applicants should have a minimum one year post graduate experience for House Officer role.
