With sunshine almost all year round, when you live in Tropical North Queensland you live outdoors. There are an abundance of things to see and do in Cardwell and Ingham which can provide you with perfect work life balance.

This doctor owned and operated practice is an accredited teaching practice operating in a purpose built building with eight doctors on staff. The population of the region is growing and they are looking to recruit further four Doctors to keep up with demand.

The practice principal is a college examiner and holds Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology,
Ophthalmology and has much Paediatric and Emergency medicine experience. The practice is a teaching practice for GP registrars.

They offer audiometry, spirometry, “Solarscan” skin checks and E.C.G.’s and also do a variety of health checks and medicals. Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology are on site, as well as allied health services by a dietician, two podiatrists, an audiologist, two psychologists and a diabetes educator.
Registered and Enrolled nurses provide continuous medical officer support, as well as performing pap smears, asthma and diabetes education. We are a registered Q-fever and yellow fever vaccination centre, as well as providing the usual private and NHS vaccinations.

Visiting rights may be obtained for the local hospital, allowing interesting inpatient care and good camaraderie with the public hospital doctors. Visits to our patients at nursing homes are also undertaken, and a good relationship exists with all three facilities in our area.

As a practice they have regular social evenings and family outings. Popular with our staff are the murder mystery dinners, picnics at the beach and boat outings around the Hinchinbrook Island!

What Head Medical can do for you
Arranging a position overseas is very exciting, but we understand that it can also be daunting and time consuming. We’re the UK's specialist in international medical recruitment and we‘ve helped many Doctors relocate since we first started out in 2008 (you can read what people have said about working with us on our testimonials page). We know it’s important to balance career opportunities with lifestyle and we’ll talk through your plans and will get to know you to make sure we find the right role in the right location.

Once we have secured a job for you, we’ll manage the Medical Registration and Visa application process, and support you (and your family) with the relocation itself.
