Head Medical are currently recruiting a Family Physician to join a busy clinic in the beautiful area of South Surrey, British Columbia. The clinic are seeking an experienced Family Physician / General Practitioner to add to their experienced team.
Clinic
The are equipped with a sunlit wait area, ten newly equipped treatment rooms and a surgery suite. They operate with five full-time and three part-time physicians, providing both family practice and walk-in medicine for the community. Each physician has their own area of special interest including: Palliative, Maternity, Research, Sports Medicine, Mental Health, Aesthetics and Mandarin. Physicians and patients are supported by skilled and friendly Medical Office Assistants, Nursing Management and patient care and an electronic medical records system called Oscar.

Booked Appointments (with your Family Practice Physician)
Chronic and Complex Care (Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD, CHF, Stroke, Heart Attack, Renal Failure, Mental Health, Long Term Care, etc.)
WCB (Work related Injury) and ICBC (Motor Vehicle Accident) Claims
Medication Therapy and Refills (Medication Refills will not be done over the phone)
Diagnostic Investigation (Lab, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, EMG, Stress, etc.)
Specialist Referrals
Minor Treatment (Wart, Ear Syringing, Removal of Foreign Body)
Minor Surgeries (Nail Wedge Resection, Mole Excision, Biopsy)
Wound Care (Cleaning, Dressing, Removal of Sutures Changes)
Injury Care (RICE, Tensoring, Splinting, Sling)
Screening Exams (Pap Smear, Breast, Prostate)
Physical Exam (Infant, Child, Adult)
Adult Immunization (Tetanus/Diphtheria, Pneumonia, Flu, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis A&B)
Private forms (Insurance, Driver's Medical, Pre-Employment, Sport's Medicals, Camp Medicals)
Contract
- Fee for service split – 70% of billings (first year expected earnings of $250,000 CAD)
- 3 years minimum contract
- High earning potential of up to $400,000 CAD per annum
Location
South Surrey is a community within the City of Surrey, British Columbia, located on the Semiahmoo peninsula in the southern portion of the city of Surrey, sharing a border with the city of White Rock. Neighbourhoods of South Surrey include, Crescent Beach, Crescent Heights, Elgin, Chantrell Creek, Grandview Heights, Hazelmere, Ocean Park, and Sunnyside.
Registration Requirements
Doctors must hold MRCGP, MICGP, FRACGP, FACRRM or ABFM. Or if you currently hold a license to practice in Canada, you are eligible to apply.
In order to obtain a license to practice, doctors must pass the MCCQE Part 1 exam.
