We are working with a newly refurbished state of the art Emergency Department seeking PGY4 Doctors for positions commencing February 2022.
- Fantastic lifestyle in relaxed subtropical Queensland
- Just over an hour's flight to Brisbane

Gladstone Hospital sees a variety of presentations into the emergency department. The newly constructed $42 million state of art emergency department allows for rapid assessment, resuscitation, an acute zone and two mental health assessment rooms. Short-stay beds will be phased in for patients who require a longer period of observation without needing admission to the general ward.
The Hospital and Location
One of the many rewards of this post is a sensational coastal subtropical lifestyle in Australia. Of course, it also offers an ideal role if you are looking for a new professional challenge.
It is a regional town of approx. 50,000 inhabitants known for its deep-sea harbour and port, and as a lifestyle choice for those seeking a change in pace enabling a true work/life balance.
The Hospital caters to a regional population of approximately 65,000 incorporating smaller rural/coastal settlements within its catchment area. The Hospital is a 70 bed facility and has approximately 282 full time equivalent staff who deliver services across acute, community and primary care. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will continue to develop your skills and knowledge with the great support of senior medical professionals.
The sub-tropical climate and its proximity to islands and beaches lends itself to an abundance of tourism activities all year round including boating, fishing, swimming and surfing. Whether you spend your days off exploring the region and all its natural wonders or taking advantage of the laid-back lifestyle and truly relaxing, you will be able to have the perfect work-life balance! Stroll along the beach, snorkel on the reef, drive out into the country or spend time in the city - the lifestyle is peaceful and serene here. You will have access to water sports and sailing activities, the best seafood Queensland has to offer, and of course, the fabulous Southern Great Barrier Reef.
